With a new year upon us, the Friends of the Juneau-Douglas City Museum looks forward to fulfilling our mission to support, protect, and promote the Juneau-Douglas City Museum in 2017.  The following examples highlight FoJDCM achievements in 2016 as the result of our dedicated and generous supporters:

  • $10,000 contribution toward the purchase of three new museum cases.

  • Successful $5,000 Fundraising Effort.

  • Purchase and donation of Alaska Native Brotherhood Koogeinaa (sash) and cap for the JDCM Collection.

  • Museum Reception Sponsorship & Coffee and Tea for Volunteers.

  • Radio marketing and email contact news sponsorship.

  • Production and dissemination of News on the Channel for Juneau History enrichment.

  • Partnership with Auke Bay Post 25, American Legion for proper flag protocol and care of our historic flags at the Museum site.

  • Increased awareness of the FoJDCM endowment fund with the Juneau Community FoundationPick, Click, Give and the AmazonSmile Program.
