The Territorial Museum has obtained a replica of the famous Sukheen of “Rain Wall” screen which is in the Whale House at Klukwan. The original was regarded by the late George T. Emmons, an authority on Native art, as the finest screen in Alaska. The replica measures 12 by 21 feet and stood at the rear of an Indian community house, partitioning off the chief’s quarters. It has been purchased by the Museum.  Gastineau Bygones – 06/19/1981
